At the end of the academic year, students all over Maharashtra are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams.  These results are critical, representing milestones in the education of students


Expected Result Announcement Dates


The MSBSHSE would release the results of HSC (Class 12) on May 6, 2025, while those of SSC (Class 10) by May 15, 2025.   

These are assuming the official confirmation and past publication patterns.



Examination Overview


HSC (Class 12): Organized between February 11 and March 18, 2025, covering streams such as Science, Commerce, Arts, Vocational, and ITI.  Around 15.13 lakh students took these exams.  


SSC (Class 10): Organized between February 21 and March 17, 2025, with more than 16 lakh students taking part.

Grading System

The MSBSHSE adopts a uniform grading system:

Distinction: 75% and above

First Division: 60% to 74%

Second Division: 45% to 59%

Pass Grade: 35% to 44%

Fail: Below 35%

1. Re-evaluation and Verification: In case students feel there has been a mistake in the evaluation, they can seek re-evaluation through their respective institutions.

2. Supplementary Examinations: Candidates who fail can take supplementary exams, which are likely to be held in July 2025.

3. Skill Development Programs: For HSC students who fail in two or more subjects, the board provides skill development programs in lieu of marking them as failed.
